Patricia Dolez received her bachelor degree from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in France in 1993, and her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Sherbrooke (Québec, Canada) in 1998. She currently works as a researcher in the geosynthetics and construction materials division SAGEOS of the CTT Group (Saint-Hyacinthe, QC, Canada). She is also adjunct professor in the department of construction engineering at École de technologie supérieure in Montréal. Her areas of expertise include the resistance of polymer, textile and composite materials to mechanical, chemical and aging stresses, as well as protection against nanoparticles and performance and functionality aspects of protective equipment. Her current main research activities deal with the development of nanotechnologies and “green” materials for building and geotechnical engineering. Dr. Dolez has authored more than 70 publications and holds four patent and patent disclosures. She is a member of the Canadian Advisory Committee on ISO/TC94 SC13 and SC14. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Textile Science.
