Natividad P. Stover
Natividad P. Stover, M.D., is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Stover is a medical graduate from the University of Alcala de Henares in Madrid, Spain. She did her internship and neurology residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA, and Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She also did a fellowship in movement disorders at Emory University. Stover’s activities are divided between treatment of patients with neurologic problems and research in neurology, mainly in the area of movement disorders. Her main interest is to study the physiology and physiopathology of motor control and movement disorders in tremor, gait disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and dystonia, among others. Part of her activities is oriented to the development of new pharmacological and surgical treatments for movement disorders. Stover endeavors into new projects by building upon her previous research and learned clinical experiences, and she has extensive experience leading and guiding a team to complete clinical research projects.
