Haladhar D. Sarma
Haladhar D. Sarma completed the M.V.S. degree in the Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, India, and he obtained his Ph.D. degree in basic medical sciences from the University of Pune, Pune, India. Dr. Sarma worked as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Assam Agricultural University. He currently works as a Scientific Officer and Head of the Experimental Animal Facility and Radioisotope Laboratory, Radiation Biology and Health Sciences Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, India. Dr. Sarma was, moreover, a Fellow of the National Academy of Veterinary Sciences, India. He served as a Technical Cooperation Expert for the International Atomic Energy Agency. His expertise includes in vivo animal model, research in cancer radiobiology, radiopharmaceuticals development, and application of nanotechnology in cancer therapy. Sarma is a member of several scientific societies and serves as a scientific and regulatory member of the institutional animal ethics committees of many leading academic and research establishments. He has more than a hundred research publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, and monograms besides an equal number of presentations in national and international conferences.
