Michael Z. Q. Chen received the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Ph.D. degree in control engineering from Cambridge University, Cambridge, U.K. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of HongKong. His research interests include passive network synthesis, mechanical control, complex networks, and smart grid. Dr. Chen is a Fellow of the Cambridge Philosophical Society and a Life Fellow of the Cambridge Overseas Trust. He is now a Guest Associate Editor for the International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos.
