Dr. Jonathan Muraskas was born and raised in Chicago. After receiving his bachelor’s degree Magnum Cum Laude at Ripon College in Wisconsin, he received his medical degree at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He continued at Loyola to complete his pediatric residency and neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship and was welcomed as one of the faculty. His passions are teaching and mentoring - fellows, residents, medical students, and high school students. He gives them a love for medicine, especially critically ill newborn care as in the 50 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Loyola. He has presented and is published nation and worldwide. Dr. Muraskas is currently director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship and Chairman of the Committee on Admissions to the Stritch School of Medicine. His special interests are Extremely Low Birth Weight infants, Multiple Births, Conjoined Twins, and Medical, Legal and Ethical Issues.
