Verónica Pino

Verónica Pino (born in 1974) has been a Ramon y Cajal Research Associate at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of La Laguna (ULL), Spain, since January 2010. Pino got her B.S. degree in chemistry in 1997 from ULL with Science Graduate Award. She conducted her Ph.D. research through a prestigious FPU fellowship, obtaining her title in April 2002 with sobresaliente cum laude and Doctorate Extraordinary Award. She was awarded a Special Mention for Young Researchers from the Canary Government in 2003. She has attended prestigious research centers at Wake-Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC, USA (in 2000), Canary Institute of Agrarian Research (in 2002), Iowa-State University, Ames, IA, USA (in 2003), Universite Claude-Bernard of Lyon, Villeurbanne, France (in 2005), and The University of Toledo, Toledo, OH, USA (in 2006 and 2008), being included as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Toledo since 2008. She has published more than 53 publications included in the JCR and around 7 book chapters. Pino has also several teaching accreditations, including Assistant Doctor Professor (in 2005), Contractual Doctor Professor (in 2006), and Titular Professor (in 2010), all by ANECA. She was awarded Tenure (I3) by the Spanish Ministry in April 2014.
