Professor Ching-yi Wu received her doctoral degree at Boston University and is currently Professor and Chair of Department of Occupational Therapy & Graduate Institute of Behavioral Sciences at Chang Gung University in Taiwan. Her area of specialty includes motor control, neurorehabilitation, evidence-based practice, and translational research. Her current research relates to the efficacy of innovative therapy for upper extremity of stroke patients (e.g., constraint-induced therapy, bilateral arm training, robot-assisted training and mirror therapy), the neural, physiological, and biomechanical mechanism underlying specific treatment approaches, and clinimetric and psychometric study of measurement tools often used as outcome measures for the clinical trials. Professor Wu has published over 120 papers at international and national journals, and is the contributor to English textbook and Encyclopedia including Rehabilitation Medicine and Quality of Life Encyclopedia. Her biography has been included in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
