Rafael Montalvo-Rodríguez

Rafael Montalvo-Rodríguez received a Ph.D. degree in microbiology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE, USA. He serves as an Associate Professor at the Biology Department, University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Puerto Rico. He acts as an elected Member of the Subcommittee on the Taxonomy of the family Halobacteriaceae. His research interests include extremophiles, gene regulation in Archaea, and diversity of extremophiles
