Konrad P. Körding

Konrad P. Körding was born in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1973. He studied Physics in Heidelberg and Zürich. He got his Ph.D. degree from ETH Zürich addressing optimality in the visual system. He worked on biophysical modelling of single cells, oscillatory network dynamics of spiking neurons. More recently, he worked on learning rules that replicate the properties of visual neurons when trained on natural stimuli. His main interests are models of optimal coding in the brain and probabilistic models of the real world. He currently works as a Postdoctor at UCL London and addresses optimality in the motor system.
