Anurag Saxena is Professor of pathology and Postgraduate Medial Education Dean at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada. He graduated from the University of Delhi, Delhi, India (M.B.B.S.) and has an M.S. degree in education from the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Saxena has certification in anatomic pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is board certified (the American Board of Pathology) in anatomic pathology and hematology. His research interests are in apoptosis in hematologic malignancies and atherosclerosis and clinic-pathologic correlations in pathology. He is also pursuing research in medical education and leadership in health care. He has received funding form the CIHR and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He has been fortunate to receive many teaching awards including the Master Teacher award of the University of Saskatchewan.
