Folke Sjoberg

Folke Sjöberg, M.D., Ph.D., was born in 1956. He works at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and the Burns Intensive Care Unit, Department of Hand and Plastic Surgery, University Hospital, S-581 85 Linköping, SWEDEN. He received his M.D. degree at the Linköping University Medical School, in 1983. He served as a Speciated in anesthesiology and intensive care, at the University Hospital, Linköping, Sweden, in 1990. From 2002 to 2009, Sjöberg was the Medical Director of the Proof of Concept Clinic at the Berzelius Clinical Research Center. He is presently responsible for teaching 8 doctoral students; 15 Ph.D. students have previously graduated. His publications include more than 200 abstracts at national and international meetings. He has 150 original publications (including editor for books and chapters, case reports, letters, and full peer-reviewed papers). He is President of the European Burns Association (2007–09) and Member of the Executive Board of the International Society for Burn Injuries ISBI (2005–07). Sjöberg is regularly invited as a lecturer to all continents. He has been a chairman at international symposiums more than 20 times.
