Cabir Temirci, since 2011, has been serving as a Professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Yuzuncu Yil University, Van, Turkiye; from 2005 to 2011, an Associated Professor; from 2003 to 2005, an Assistant Professor; from 2000 to 2003, a Research Assistant; from 1989 to 2000, a Research and Teaching Assistant, all at the same department. He received a B.S. degree from the Department of Physics, Kazim Karabekir Faculty of Education, Atatürk University (1987), an M.S. degree from the Department of Physics, Institute of Science and Technology, Yuzuncu Yil University, in theoretical work in general physics, with a thesis entitled “Equilibrium properties of a spin-1 Ising system with bilinear and biquadratic interactions,” supervised by Dr. Ali Kökçe (1994); a D.Phil. degree from the Department of Physics, Institute of Science and Technology, Atatürk University, in research in experimental physics, with a thesis entitled “Fabrication of Sn/p-Si Schottky diodes having high barrier and surface passivation,” supervised by Dr. Abdulmecit Türüt; as well as a Ph.D. degree in 2000. His research areas include experimentally study of characteristic parameters of metal-semiconductor (Schottky) contacts, study of ohmic and rectifier Organic/metal contacts.
