Man-fung Yuen is a Professor of gastroenterology and hepatology at the Department of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam, Hong Kong. He is also serving as an Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. Yuen obtained his M.B.B.S. degree in 1992, an M.D. qualification—receiving the Sir Patrick Manson Gold Medal—in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree in 2005. Professor Yuen serves as a Council Member for a number of organizations, including the Asia Pacific Hepatitis B Management Advisory Board and the Hong Kong Society of Gastroenterology. In addition, he is the Vice President of The Hong Kong Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. His main research interests include the prevention, natural history, molecular virology, and treatment of CHB, including treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. Moreover, he is the author of over 195 research papers published in various international journals.
