Rachid Jennane currently works as a Full Professor of image processing at the University of Orleans, Orleans, France, where he is affiliated to the PRISME Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in December 1995 from the University of Orleans. His Ph.D. concerned fractal modeling of textures with an application to bone microarchitecture analysis. He served as the principle investigator of a number of research projects in the image and signal processing areas. He supervised more than 20 Ph.D. and M.S. students in the area of signal and image processing. His current research interests include the analysis of 2D and 3D medical images, especially, 3D porous media and 2D textured images. He is the coauthor of several refereed original journal and proceeding articles. Jennane also spent the academic year 1998 as a Visiting Researcher in the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, USA.
