Ramesh Natarajan received a Ph.D. degree from the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va, USA. He serves as an Associate Professor of medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University and Assistant Professor of medicne at the Department of Internal Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University. He has received a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and molecular biophysics from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va, from 1992 to 1997. He has received an M.S. degree in biochemistry from the University of Bombay, Bombay, India, from 1990 to 1992. He has received a B.S. degree in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of Bombay, Bombay, India, from 1987 to 1990. He has been nominated to 2010 Edition of Marquis Who's Who in America. He has received a Fullbright Fellowship and been recognized with the Negus Biochemistry Prize by Virginia Commonwealth University. He is serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals and reviewer for six journals. He has published thirty three original manuscripts, sixty abstracts, and two book chapters. His research interests include sepsis, trauma, acute lung injury, ischemia-reperfusion, inflammation, pulmonary hypertension, emphysema, and gene regulation.
