Kei-ichi Yamanaka has received an M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Mie University, Graduate School of Medicine in 1993 and 2000, respectively. From 2002 till 2005, he served as a Research Fellow at the Brigham Women’s Hospital/ Harvard Medical School, Department of Dermatology, Boston, MA, USA. Since 2005, he serves as a Lecturer at the Department of Dermatology, Mie University Hospital, Tsu, Mie, Japan. He is board certified in dermatology by the Japanese Dermatology Association in 1998. He received the following professional honors: 2006-2007, Marquis Who’s Who in the world, 2007, Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, 2007:Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21th century from International Biographical Center, 2007: International Health Professional of the year from International Biographical Center, and since 2008: Marquis Who’s Who Online. His recent research interests are cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, skin homing, atopic dermatitis, IL-18, nasal allergy, IL-10 producing regulatory T cell, and immunotherapy.
