Michael Borre

Michael Borre was born in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1958. He received his medical degree from University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1989 and his Ph.D. degree from Aarhus University in 1998 entitled "A study of prostate cancer: based on the natural history, the therapeutic intervention and survival in citizens of Aarhus County diagnosed with prostate cancer in the five year period." In 2002, he received his D.M.S. degree from Aarhus University with thesis entitled "A study of prostate cancer II: the prognostic role of biological markers in patients subjected to watchful waiting." At present, Borre is a Senior Urologist at the Department of Urology, Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby and Associated Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. His clinical specialities include localized and advanced prostate cancer as well as prostate cryoablation. Borre's fields of research cover clinical uro-oncology with principal interest in prostate and bladder cancer. His honorary offices include chairmanships in the Danish multidisciplinary cancer group: Uro-Oncological Forum, the Danish prostate cancer group “DAPROCA,” and the Committee of the Danish prostate cancer database “DANCAP data,”He is also a Member of the Scandinavian Prostate Cancer Group “SPCG.”
