Anna Stoppato

Anna Stoppato received a degree in mechanical engineering (summa cum laude) and her Ph.D. degree from the University of Padova, Italy, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. Since 1999, she has been an Assistant Professor in turbomachinery at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Padova. The main scientific field of activity is the study and modeling of energy conversion plants: simulation of plants operation at different load; implementation of a modular code (DIMAP) for energetic, exergetic, and exergoeconomic analyses of energy conversion plants; development of exergetic-exergoeconomic techniques for plants; implementation of a multicriteria approach for the evaluation of energetic, economic, and environmental performances of power plants; experimental study about the potentialities of biodiesel in boilers and internal combustion engines; development of techniques to evaluate the influence of power plant management strategies on its components residual life; lifecycle assessment of electric production by photovoltaic panels.
