Sara C. Cunha
Sara Cunha received her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Chemistry in 2007 from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Porto University, Portugal. Since then, she has been on the Faculty of Pharmacy of Porto University where she is currently assistant Researcher at REQUIMTE. Sara Cunha researcher interests include the development of new methods based in chromatographic techniques as GC/MS or LC/MS-MS for the authentication of high value food products (olive oils and wines) and for the screening of a range of contaminants (pesticides, acrylamide, bisphenol A and mycotoxins, furans, biogenic amines, chloropropanols and chloroesters) in food, water and biological fluids. Sampling and sample preparation is also a topic of intensive research. New developments in this respect allowed the application of microextraction procedures in the extraction of multi-residues of pesticides, biogenic amines and BPA from a wide range of matrices. She is the author or co-author of more than 30 scientific papers and contributed in books on Current topics on food authentication, Olives and Olive Oil in Health and Disease Prevention and Pesticides - Strategies for Pesticides Analysis.
