Hinanit Koltai

Hinanit Koltai holds a Ph.D. degree. She is an Associate Professor (grade Research Scientist) at the Agricultural Research Organization, Volcani Center, Bet Dagan, Israel. Her expertise includes plant root development and root interactions. Her current research is in the areas of strigolactone regulation of root development as part of plant response to its growth conditions and the strigolactones involvement in the association between plants and the symbiotic fungi arbuscular mycorrhiza. She is the coeditor of a book on mycorrhiza symbiosis and an editor of special issues of scientific journals focused on new signaling molecules in plants and mycorrhiza symbiosis. Dr. Koltai is a leading author of a number of reviewed publications and book chapters on strigolactone involvement in root development. She is a lecturer at the Hebrew University in Rehovot, Israel, teaching genomics and root development courses.
