Ivan V. Bajic

Ivan V. Bajic received the B.S. degree (summa cum laude) in electronic engineering from the University of Natal, South Africa, in 1998, and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA, in 2000, 2002, and 2003, respectively. From 2003 to 2005 he was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Fla, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC, Canada. His research interests include various aspects of signal processing, and applications in image and video coding, multimedia communications, and computational biology.
