Marco Sassoe-Pognetto

Marco Sassoe-Pognetto was born on October 28, 1964, Castellamonte, Italy. He received a degree with cum laude in biology from the University of Turin in 1987, a Ph.D. degree in neurological sciences from the same university, and postdoctoral fellowship at the Max-Planck-Institute for Brain Research, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in 1993-1994. From 1993 to 2004, Sassoe-Pognetto served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Turin. Since 2005, he has been working as an Associate Professor of human anatomy (Medical School, Turin University). He serves as a Reviewer Editor for Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience and Frontiers in Neuroanatomy journals. Sassoe-Pognetto's research interests include organization, development, and plasticity of synaptic connections.
