Pullani Shashidharan is an Associate Professor of neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, NY, USA. His main interests are etiopathogenesis of neurological disorders in particular movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and dystonia. He has interest and expertise in developing in vitro and in vivo models for neurological disorders and in the development of rationale therapies for the treatment of these disorders. He is a Member of the Society for Neuroscience and Movement Disorder Society.
