Shibiao Bai

Shibiao Bai obtained a Dr.S. degree (cartography and geographical information systems) from the Nanjing Normal University, China (2005), an M.S. degree (physical geography) from the Nanjing Normal University, China (2002), and B.S. degree (physical geography) from the Lanzhou University, China (1999). Bai is a Member of the International Association for Mathematical Geology, Geographical Society of China, and China Association for Disaster Prevention. Since 2009.10, Bai has been an Associate Professor, School of Geography Science, Nanjing Normal University, China and in 2011.03–2011.05 was a Guest Researcher at the IGAR, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Bai joined a project with the title: Intelligent Analysis of Environmental Data and landslides Risk Mapping Triggered by Wenchuan Earthquake, with the Coinvestigator: Professor Mikhail Kanevski, 2009.11– 010.05. Bai was a Guest Researcher at the Department of Geography and Regional Research, University of Vienna, Austria, with research topic: landslide hazard and risk assessment, with the academic supervisor of Professor Thomas Glade, 2005.07–2009.09. Bai was also a Lecturer, School of Geography Science, Nanjing Normal University, China. Bai's research interests include geomorphology, landslide hazard mapping, landslide processes, early-warning systems, and spatial data analysis.
