Clara Di Filippo

Clara Di Filippo was born in Salerno, Italy, in 1965. She received the Bachelor in Science from the Federico II University, Naples, and the Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the Second University of Naples (SUN). She was post doc in Experimental Medicine at the University of Messina (Sicily) and she received the Specialization in Pharmacology from faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Second University of Naples. Presently, she’s Researcher in Pharmacology at Second University of Naples. Teacher of Pharmacology within the course for the Degree in Medicine and Surgery of the Second University of Naples (from 2000) . Member of Research Units within MIUR, and Second University projects. She has scientific collaborations with several European groups and her main scientific interest includes studies on: Central role of vasoactive peptides in the regulation of cardiovascular function; Diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome as risk factors for cardiovascular pathologies; Myocardial/ischemia reperfusion injury: links between oxidative stress and inflammation; Oxygen/ozone therapy as alternative therapy for cardiovascular diseases. Publications on peer reviewed journal enclose a list of 57 original articles and reviews on journals indexed in the main scientific databases.
