Carlos Vera serves as a Professor of chemical reaction engineering at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina, and an Independent Researcher for the National Research Council (CONICET) of Argentina. He holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Universidad Nacional del Comahue, Argentina, and a Ph.D. degree from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Currently at the Institute for Research of Catalysis and Petrochemistry (INCAPE, Santa Fe, Argentina), Vera is an active contributor to the scientific literature in the fields of catalysis and chemical engineering and also a Consulting Expert for SMB projects involving the development of chemical processes and products. His current research interests are related to cyclic adsorption processes, catalytic decarboxylation, and selective hydrogenation.
