Sergios Theodoridis

Sergios Theodoridis received an Honors
degree in physics from the University of
Athens and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from
the Department of Electronics and Electrical
Engineering of Birmingham University,
UK. He is currently Professor of signal processing
and communications in the Department
of Informatics and Telecommunications
of the University of Athens. His research
interests lie in the areas of adaptive
algorithms, channel equalization, pattern recognition, and signal
processing for music. He is the Coeditor of the book Adaptive System
Identification and Signal Processing Algorithms, Prentice Hall
1993, the Coauthor of the book Pattern Recognition, Academic
Press, 3rd edition 2005, and the Coauthor of three books in Greek,
two of them for the Greek Open University. He is currently an Associate
Editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Magazine and he is a
member of the editorial boards of the EURASIP Signal Processing
Journal and EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and
Networking. He was the general Chairman of EUSIPCO-98 and he
is the Technical Program Cochair for ISCAS-2006. He is currently
the President of EURASIP.
