Yongzhou Hu is currently the Director of Research Center for Innovative Drug Discovery of Zhejiang University and the Deputy Director of ZJU-ENS Joint Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry of Zhejiang University. He received his Ph.D. degree in medicinal chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Materia & Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shanghai, China (1994). After being an Associate Professor at Zhejiang Medical University (ZMU), Hangzhou, China in 1994, he moved to the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada to do his postdoctoral studies in 1995. He has been a Professor of medicinal chemistry at Zhejiang University since 1997. His research interests lie in the field of drugs design and structure-activity relationships studies, with focuses on antineoplastic agents, drugs for senile diseases and reproductive health.
