Cynthia R. Long

Cynthia R. Long is professor and Director of Research at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA. She holds an M.S. degree in statistics and a Ph.D. in biostatistics. She also directs the Office of Data Management and Biostatistics for the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research and the MS in Clinical Research program at Palmer. Dr. Long has been a member or chair of special emphasis review panels for the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Center for Scientific Review and National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine since 1999. She has chaired 2 NIH Data and Safety Monitoring Boards for clinical trials of manual therapies. Dr. Long is on the editorial boards of JMPT and JCCA, reviews for 8 journals and is an officer of the American Statistical Association’s Section on “Teaching Statistics in the Health Sciences.”
