Qian Zou

Qian Zou obtained her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University (China) in 1992, 1994, and 2001, respectively, and then joined Oakland University in 2002. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and also the Codirector of the Automotive Tribology Center at Oakland University. Dr. Zou’s research area is in tribology, especially automotive tribology, thermal and tribological performance of nanofluids, lubrication fundamentals, modeling and testing of wear and scuffing, and contact mechanics analysis. She has published more than 70 papers in various journals and conferences. Dr. Zou is an Active Member of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) and is serving as the Membership Chair of the STLE Detroit section.
