Kazuyuki Hokamoto

Kazuyuki Hokamoto was born in Kumamoto, Japan, in 1959. He was graduated from Kumamoto University in 1982 and received the M.E. degree in 1984 also from Kumamoto University. After that, he received his Dr.Eng. degree in metallurgical engineering from Kyushu University in 1988. He started his Faculty position at Kumamoto University in 1987 and he is currently a Professor of the shock wave and condensed matter research center, Kumamoto University. His major research interest is materials processing of materials using explosives and other impulsive phenomena. He has been served as one of the organizers for several international meetings in the related field and he received Paper Award from JSTP in 2004.
