Dipak Chattopadhyay is presently heading the Research Group of Sheela Foam. He was born at Durgapur, West Bengal. He carried out doctoral assignment at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and received his Ph.D. degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. After completion of his doctoral assignment, he moved to North Dakota State University, Fargo in June 2006 and worked with Professor Dean C. Webster as Postdoctoral Research Associate. In 2009, he joined Professor Dr. Filip Du Prez's Research Group at Ghent University and worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate for the development of new generation polyurethane foam. Later on in May 2010, he joined Sheela Foam as a Head of Research & Development. Dr. Chattopadhyay’s research interests include understanding the nature of different thermosetting system and structure-property relationships.
