Eleftherios P. Diamandis

Eleftherios P. Diamandis is currently the Head of Clinical Biochemistry, Mount Sinai Hospital; Biochemist-in-Chief, University Health Network and Toronto Medical Laboratories; Professor and Head at the Division of Clinical Biochemistry, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto. Dr. Diamandis received his B.S. degree in chemistry, Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry, and M.D. degree from the University of Athens, Greece. He also obtained a Diploma in clinical biochemistry from the University of Toronto, Canada. He is a Certified Clinical Chemist by the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. He has been a member of 27 various advisory scientific and editorial boards since 1992; a journal Referee for about 53 scientific journals, nationally and internationally; a Referee for granting agencies all over North America. In addition, he received numerous scientific and excellence awards from both national and international organizations. Diamandis published four books, 70 review papers, and 437 research papers, and coauthored 4 books and 22 book chapters. His interest is in tumor markers, genomic and proteomic technologies, and their applications to diagnosis and monitoring of cancer.
