Siddharth Pratap, a holder of M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, serves as the Key Activity Leader for Biomedical Informatics, Director of the Microarray-Bioinformatics Core, Managing Director of the Proteomics Core, and an Assistant Professor at the School of Graduate Studies and Research, Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN, USA. He has extensive training in bioinformatics, computational biology, proteomics molecular biology, and translational science research. As the Director of the Bioinformatics Core and the Meharry Translational Research Center Biomedical Informatics activity, he oversees multiple implementations of mid-to-large-scale frameworks for database architectures and analysis pipelines. Working with a broad range of research groups with both basic science and clinical science objectives allows for a translational approach. Pratap has also been active in launching new programs and capabilities at Meharry Medical College as evidenced by the design, organization, and creation of the Meharry Proteomics Core in 2010.
