Sergei Sergeenkov

Sergei Sergeenkov received the M.S. degree (with first-class honor), and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics from the Dnepropetrovsk State University and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), Dubna, Russia, in 1981 and 1986, respectively. Between 1986 and 1996, he was a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Neutron Physics, JINR. Since 1996, he has been a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, JINR. In 1992, 1995, and 1998, he was a Visiting Researcher at the Liege University, Belgium. He was a Robert A. Welch Fellow at the Texas Christian University (1994) and a Visiting Research Professor at the Federal Institute of Technology (Zurich, 1999), Talca University (Chile, 2003), and Instituto Superior Tecnico (Lisbon, 2005). Currently, Dr. Sergeenkov is a CAPES Visiting Professor at the University of Paraiba, Brazil. He is the Editor of New Developments in Josephson Junctions Research. His main research interests include theoretical and experimental aspects of high-temperature superconductivity, Josephson junction arrays, granular superconductors, and CMR exhibiting manganites.
