Shamay Ng works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. Ng obtained her undergraduate training in physiotherapy from the same university in 1992, and she got her M.S. degree in neurological physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia, in 1999. She gained her Ph.D. degree in stroke rehabilitation in 2005 from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Ng, moreover, has extensive clinical experience in hospitals and outpatient clinics in Hong Kong and Australia. Her research interest is focused on stroke and neurological rehabilitation. She has obtained more than HK$ 5 million research grants as a Principal Investigator of stroke rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Ng has been also awarded two teaching development grants for developing neurological physiotherapy education.
