Zhao Zhong Chong
Zhao Zhong Chong received the M.D. degree in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree in pharmacology in 1998 from China. He then worked as a Postdoc Fellow for 2 years at the Department of Pharmacology of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and an Associate Professor in 2000. Having worked as a Research Associate and as a Research Assistant Professor at the Division of Cellular and Molecular Cerebral Ischemia, Department of Neurology, Wayne State University in Detroit, Chong is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neuroscience, New Jersey Medical School, UMDNJ, Newark, NJ, USA. His research focuses on the cell signaling pathways that lead to oxidative injury and protection in neuronal and vascular cells in order to find therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases and ischemic stroke.
