Gaofeng Liu received her Ph.D. degree in traditional Chinese medicine from the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, Harbin, China, in 2005, her M.A. degree in pharmaceutical analysis from the Beijing Medical University, Beijing, China, in 1990, and her B.A. degree in pharmacy from the same university, in 1987. She is a Professor of pharmacy and a Vice Director of the Pharmacy Department at the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, Harbin, China. Liu is also a Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutical Chemistry Specialty Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. Her main research interest is concentrated on the effects of traditional Chinese medicine on CYP450 and herb-drug interactions. Liu received grants from the Natural Science Foundation of Heilongjiang Province (D201044) for regulations and mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine injection on CYP450 by cocktail probe drugs, from January 2011 to December 2013, and from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) (81173659) for establishment of the metabolic system of traditional Chinese medicine injection and its active ingredients by cocktail probe drugs, from January 2012 to December 2015.
