Yoshio Araki

Yoshio Araki was born in 1959, Japan. He received the medical license and the Ph.D. degree from the Shiga University of Medical Science, Japan, in 1990 and 2000, respectively. Since then, besides working as a Clinician, he has continued to work on the basic research. Since 2007, he served as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology, Shiga University of Medical Science. He is mainly interested in the bile acid and microflora in the gut lumen and the etiology of inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis).
