Ching Hsiang Shih

Ching Hsiang Shih received the M.S. and D.S. degrees in electrical engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan City, Taiwan, in 1993 and 1997, respectively, and the B.S degree in electrical engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, Zhongli City, Taiwan, in 1992. Shih was R&D Director of Assistive Technology Engineering Lab (1999), Assistant Professor at National Dong Hwa University (2006), Associate Professor at National Dong Hwa University (2009), and Director of the Department of Special Education, National Dong Hwa University (2011). Shih's areas of expertise include multimedia special educational, assistive information technology design, assistive technology learning, assistive technology assessment, universal computerized evaluation, computerized programming, universal web design, human computer interface, assistive computerized design, assistive communicative design, and universal environment assistive design. Shih received the Guo-Guang Academic Award of International Inventor Prize (2001), Supreme Award in the "3rd National Computer Assistive Teaching Software Design-Teaching Material and Aid Group" by Ministry of Education (2010), Supreme Award in the "3rd National Computer Assistive Teaching Software Design-Assistive Device Group" by Ministry of Education (2010), Supreme Award in the Microcomputer Application System Competition by Ministry of Education (1996), Excellent Research Professor Award, National Dong Hwa University (2010), and Excellent Teaching Professor Award, National Dong Hwa University (2010).
