Ching-Hua Chuan received B.S. and M.S.
degrees in electrical engineering from National
Taiwan University in 1999 and 2001,
respectively. She is currently pursuing a
Ph.D. degree in computer science at Viterbi
School of Engineering, University of Southern
California. Since 2004, she has worked
as a Graduate Research Assistant in the
Music Computation and Cognition (Mu-CoaCo) Laboratory at the Integrated Media
Systems Center (IMSC), a National Science Foundation Engineering
Research Center. In 2005, she organized the audio key finding
competition with Mardirossian and Chew in the First Annual
Music Information Retrieval Evaluation Exchange (MIREX). Her
research interests include audio signal processing, music content
analysis, expressive performance study, and artificial intelligence.
She has presented and/or published papers at national and international
conferences such as the International Conference on Music
Information Retrieval (ISMIR), International Conference on Multimedia
and Expo (ICME), and the INFORMS Computing Society's
biennial meeting. As a guitarist, she has performed in several
all-female rock bands.
