K. G. Arvanitis

K. G. Arvanitis received the Diploma and the Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 1986 and 1994, respectively. He held several Visiting Professor’s positions in the Hellenic Naval Academy, Piraeus, Greece, in the Technological Education Institutes of Athens, Piraeus and Thessaloniki, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, and in the Department of Natural Resources Management and Agricultural Engineering of the Agricultural University of Athens, where he taught Automatic Control Theory, as well as Instrumentation and Measurement. From 1999 to 2000, he served as a University Lecturer at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Agriculture, Department of Hydraulics, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering. From 2001 to 2004 he served as a University Lecturer at the Agricultural University of Athens, Department of Natural Resources Management and Agricultural Engineering, where he presently serves as an Assistant Professor. He is a member of IEEE, of the IFAC Technical Committee on Control in Agriculture and of the Technical Chamber of Greece. He has published over 200 technical papers in book chapters, international scientific journals and international conferences and he is a reviewer in several international scientific journals and conferences. His main research interests are in linear and nonlinear system theory, sampled-data systems, multirate control systems, adaptive control and identification, robust and H?-control, process control, agricultural robotics and automation and information and communication technology in agriculture.
