Charles I. Ezeamuzie

Charles I. Ezeamuzie was born in Nineria in 1955. He received his B.S. degree in pharmacology from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1979 and his Ph.D. degree in immunopharmacology from the University College London (University of London), London, UK, in 1984. Between 1984 and 1991, he was with the College of Health Sciences, University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, rising to the rank of Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Pharmacology. He was a Research Fellow at the King Abdulaziz University Research Center, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia between 1991 and 1993. In 1994, he joined the staff of Kuwait University, Kuwait City, Kuwait, where he currently serves as a Professor and Chairman at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the Faculty of Medicine. Professor Ezeamuzie is interested in the mechanisms of allergic and inflammatory reactions and how these can be controlled by drugs. He established and run the only in vitro allergy testing center in Kuwait. He is an Editorial Board Member of the West African Journal for Pharmacology and Drug Research and regularly reviews manuscripts for numerous international journals. He consults for many pharmaceutical companies in the development of antiallergic and antiasthma drugs.
