Javier Ramos López

Javier Ramos López received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. Between 1992 and 1995, he cooperated in several research projects at Purdue University, Ind, USA, working in the field of signal processing for communications. He received the Ph.D. degree in 1995. During 1996, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University. Dr. Ramos received the Ericsson Award of the best Ph.D. dissertation on mobile communications in 1996. From 1997 to 2003, Dr. Ramos was an Associate Professor at Carlos III University of Madrid. Since 2003, Dr. Ramos has been the Dean of the Telecommunications Engineering Department at the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid. His present fields of research are broadband wireless services and technologies, wireless networks security, and distributed sensing.
