Guobin (Jacky) Shen

Guobin (Jacky) Shen received his B.S. degree from Harbin University of Engineering, Harbin, China, in 1994, his M.S. degree from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1997, and his Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2001, all in electrical engineering. He was a Research Assistant at HKUST from 1997 to 2001. Since then, he has been with Microsoft Research Asia. His research interests include digital image and video signal processing, video coding and streaming, peer-to-peer networking, and parallel computing.
