Margaret A. Niznikiewicz

Margaret A. Niznikiewicz received her M.A. degree in English and linguistics from the University of Wroclaw, Poland, in 1981, and her Ph.D. degree in experimental psychology and electrophysiology from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1992. She has joined the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital and the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, Harvard Medical School, Boston as a postdoctoral fellow in 1992. From 1993, she directed the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience at VA Jamaica Plain campus, and since 1998, she assumed a role of the Director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, Harvard Medical School, Brockton campus. Dr. Niznikiewicz interests include semantic memory dysfunction in schizophrenia spectrum disorders, as well as social cognition and communication in schizophrenia and developmental disorders. She serves currently as an Associate Professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Boston.
