Paul Green is a Research Professor at UMTRI and Adjunct Associate Professor in industrial and operations engineering, University of Michigan, Mich, USA. He has been working on driver interfaces and driving performance for over thirty years. He is the lead author of SAE Recommended Practices J2364 (15-second rule), J2365 (J2364 calculation method), and J2499 (driving performance statistics). He is a Course Leader at Michigan Human Factors Engineering Short Course, Fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, Past President of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and a current executive council member. He is also a Member of Board of Directors of Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics. He has a Ph.D. degree in industrial and operations engineering and psychology (joint degree).
