Krishanu Ray received his his M.S. degree in physics from I.I.T. Kharagpur and his Ph.D. degree in spectroscopy from Jadavpur University, India. Presently, he works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. Before joining University of Maryland, he served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale University. He served as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Fluorescence. He authored over 50 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and two book chapters. He serves as a Reviewer for several international journals and grant agencies. His current area of research focuses on the application of advanced fluorescence spectroscopy, plasmonics, and single molecule detection in biomedical research.
