Haifa Qiao joined the FSU College of Medicine from National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke/National Institutes of Health, where he was a Research Fellow. He obtained his M.D. degree from Shandong University of Chinese Medicine, China in 1996. In 1987, he received his B.S. degree majoring in acupuncture, in 1994 his M.S. degree majoring in biomedical science, and in 1996 his M.D. degree majoring in Chinese medicine, all from Shandong University of Chinese Medicine, China. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor, Assistant in Medicine, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Florida State University College of Medicine. His areas of expertise include molecular and cellular basis of neurodegenerative diseases, animal models of neuropsychiatric diseases, and neurobiological mechanism response for effect of acupuncture on pain, gastrointestinal disorders.
