Sanghyun Ahn received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer engineering from the Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 1986 and 1988, respectively, and received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn, USA, in 1993. From 1988 to 1989, she was with DACOM (currently, LG U+), Korea, as a researcher. In 1994, she joined the Sejong University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, as a Professor at the Department of Computer Science. Since 1998, she has joined the University of Seoul, Seoul, Republic of Korea, as a Professor at the School of Computer Science. Her research interests include vehicular communication networks, wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, and Internet protocols. She currently serves as an Editor of the International Journal of Vehicular Technology and as one of the chief editors of the Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers (KIISE) journals. She published over 150 research papers in journals and conference proceedings.
